This was done for a photo contest on Instagram where we were to create a photo under the theme of "Uncanny." I wanted to create a situation where there is some visual tension between the 2 people in the photograph, which happen to be me and my wife. I tried to achieve a feeling where the viewer would notice elements of familiarity, but at the same time be a bit unsettled.
